Casa Oxente invites Brazilian Northeastern artists to apply for the Residency "Nordeste Fora de Si", an independent program held in Lisbon, aimed at creation, displacement and exchange.

The residency proposes a space outside the artist's territoriality - both physical and symbolic - to investigate, tension and transform artistic processes. We are looking for artists whose practice dialogues with the curatorial axes of the residency:

• Traditional, folk practices in dialog with the contemporary
• Invisibilized bodies

The residency offers accommodation for up to 15 days at Casa Oxente, in the center of Lisbon, in an environment of conviviality, autonomy and critical listening. The artist is expected to develop a project during their stay and share their process through a talk, workshop or other format to be agreed.

Registration is ongoing and free of charge.

The candidates will be selected based on their portfolio, the proposal submitted and the availability of the residency.
